Breakfast can be such a hard thing for many people to fit in if they do not have it planned out. People often get rushed in the morning trying to get the kids ready for school or themselves ready for work, and they end up just grabbing a Starbucks and some sort of sugary pastry in the drive-thru. This can cause late morning sugar crashes and not to mention the downward spiral of health issues that can lead to if this is a frequent occurrence.
So having something quick and easy--that is also healthy-- is key!
Pint of fresh strawberries (hulled and washed)--do this the night before!!
Splash of unsweetened Almond Milk
2 Tablespoons unsweetened Almond Butter
dash of Almond extract (optional)
1-2 Tablespoons Chia Seeds
Favorite healthy sweetener, 1 tsp raw honey, or 1-3 drops Stevia
Add all to blender--Blend--and chill in fridge....Can be prepared night before and ready for you in the morning!
Super Food Oats
Steel Cut or Rolled Oats (make sure they are gluten free!)
1 tsp raw honey
1 Tablespoon Chia Seeds
1 Tablespoon freshly ground flaxseed
Optional add-ins....Almond milk, hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds, unsalted sunflower seeds, raisins, cranberries, pecans, almonds, walnuts, Enjoy life Chocolate chips
A dozen eggs
1 cup liquid (half and half, almond or cashew milk)
Add in favorites
Shredded Sweet Potatoes
Nitrate/Nitrate/Additive Free Breakfast Sausage
Add all together in a muffin tin and bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 20-25 minutes
Change add-ins as desired!
