So it is almost a New Year and people are wanting to start fresh with setting new goals, making new changes, and setting resolutions…whether it is losing 10 pounds or getting healthier, changing what you eat, getting more exercise or making another big life change--keeping goals and making big commitments to lifestyle can be difficult.
Every January, 45 percent of all Americans – or 135 million people – make New Year’s resolutions. Research shows approximately 80 percent of those resolutions will fail by February.
Why is it so hard to stick to these plans?
I think sometimes we can attribute failed goals to not enough planning. But I feel like there’s a larger player in this game.
It must start with Mindset….
Our actions are affected by the thoughts we have, and the things we tell ourselves. So, if you want to transform yourself, you’ve got to deal with your thoughts, your excuses, and your beliefs. That’s your mindset. Changing your thinking, helps to change your body.
